ZOPO ZP990 Mobile Phone Review

When the 1080p just hits the street, the available gadgets with 1080p screen are not seen quite frequently. However, Aliyun releases a series of products adopting Ali OS. ZOPO C2 is one of them, which is positioned onto the high-end market, adopts 1080p screen, but sells only for 228 bucks, and then the sequel is also put forward – Zopo ZP990.
Zopo ZP990 is also the smart phone belonging to the Aliyun series, which is equipped with a 6-inch screen, 1080p screen with stronger visual feast. Besides, its appearance design is also quite amazing, and the hardware is also upgraded.
In the design of appearance, Zopo ZP990 is quite refreshing. When the screen is on, the visual feast is quite amazing. Two colors can be selected: moonlight white and black. The reviewed one is in white.
Zopo ZP990 adopts a 6 inch 1080p screen, LTPS, GFF technology, 1080p HD degree. GFF and OGS belong to On-Cell, which is the technology to combine the touch screen and the protection panel. For users, the application of GFF technology can not only reduce the selling price, but also can guarantee the quality, which is quite valuable. Both the color reduction, exquisiteness, and the visible angles have quite amazing performance.
On the upper side is the earphone. On its left side is light and proximity sensors while on its right side is 500W pixel display camera. Below the screen are the three touch keys, namely the menu key, Home key and return key.
The surrounding of the Zopo ZP990 adopts silver edging design, which makes the great comparison with the white panel. On the top is the MicroUSB cable interface. The volume key is positioned on the left side while power key on the right.
On the upper side of the back core is designed the 1300W pixel display camera with LED flashlight. Below the camera is the Aliyun logo. On the bottom of the back core is the ZOPO logo and loudspeaker.
Zopo ZP990adopts the design of changeable battery. When the back cover is opened, a 3000mAh battery can be observed. The TD-SCDMA+GSM dual-card standby is supported(what needs explanation is that the gadget at hand is the engineering version supporting the TD network, which is to be issued in September while the version supporting WCDMA network shall hit the street earlier than TD version.). SIM1 adopts MicroSIM card while SIM2 adopts the standard card. Nevertheless, the dual-card calling simultaneously is not supported. besides, MicroSD slot is designed, which can support 64GB MicroSD card expansion. In the aspect of OS, Zopo ZP990 is rather eye-catching. As it’s collocated with Aliyun OS, it is more individualized compared with the deeply customized UI and Aliyun is not as simple as UI.

Asus jumps into the small tablet stylus game with the VivoTab Note 8

Asus is eyeing Samsung's current tablet stylus dominance with its new Vivotab Note 8, a Windows 8.1 tablet with a Wacom digitizer and stylus pen. There's no price or firm release date just yet, so whether it undercuts the $399 regular price of Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 remains to be seen.
Whatever its eventual price, Asus doesn't appear to be shy about adding value. The VivoTab Note 8 includes a copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student, which, in addition to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, throws in OneNote for good measure. China Tablet PC
Asus doesn't make it clear exactly which Wacom digitizer sits inside the tablet, but does state the tablet can sense up to 1,000 points of pressure from the included stylus.
The VivoTab Note 8 houses a quad-core Intel Atom Z3740 CPU, and according to Asus, the tablet's battery will last for up to 8 hours. Other specs include 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage, and it's compatible with 64GB microSD storage cards. There's a 5-megapixel rear camera and an "HD" front shooter, which means don't expect much from it in terms of performance.
From the look of the pic above, Asus still seems comfortable leveraging the Nexus 7 (2012) design as this new one doesn't look much different. And with a 0.43-inch thickness, it's definitely not the thinnest small tablet I've ever seen; however, with an .83 pound bulk it still manages to weigh less than a pound. And like most Asus tablets, it also comes with a free year of unlimited ASUS WebStorage.
It feels a bit late for Asus to be stepping into the stylus tablet game -- and on a Windows 8.1 machine no less -- given Samsung's stranglehold on on the subcategory. Samsung has worked to improve stylus integration on its tablet since the introduction of the original Galaxy Note 10 -- with great success. Whether the VivoTab will see similar success will depend -- among other factors -- on just how well the stylus is integrated into the interface.

New Year Gift, Huawei Honor 3X or Xiaomi Mi3?

Although Huawei Honor has launched their mysterious 8-core MTK6592 phone, Honor 3X already, it seems that Honor 3X isn’t impressive enough. If for Christmas gift, which one is better, Honor 3X or Xiaomi Mi3? As for the performance, it is obvious that Honor 3X cannot compare to Xiaomi Mi3, but pricing at 1698 Yuan, $280, less 300 Yuan, $49 than Xiaomi Mi3 1999 Yuan, $329.
Honor 3X has a 5.5inch 720P display, OGS technology, 10 point touch support, 8-core mtk6592 processor running at 1.7GHz, 2GB RAM, 5.0mega-pixel front facing camera, small window preview and panoramic autodyne support, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, F2.2 aperture, 3000mah battery.
But what $49 will bring us?
1. Display: Honor 3X, 720P, Xiaomi Mi3, 1080P, display is much better.
2. Processor: Honor 3X, 8-core MTK6592, Xiaomi Mi3, Qualcomm 800.
If your budget is enough, Xiaomi Mi3 or ZTE Nubia Z5s is a better choice.
But if large screen is your favor, Honor 3X’s 5.5inch display is good enough, but as for the resolution, it is still a disadvantage. While Honor 3X can support dual sim card, one standard SIM, the other is micro SIM, but Xiaomi Mi3 is only single sim. The final decision is up to you.
